But what happened to the actors of the film "Treasure Island" after the success of the film?

Oleg Borisov passed away on April 28, 1994. The cause of death was chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In memory of him, in 2004, a memorial plaque was installed in the house where he lived for the last ten years. In Kyiv, on Andreevsky Spusk, there is a monument to the main characters of the film "Chasing Two Hares" - here Borisov is depicted as Golokhvosty.

In September, the actor was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous tumor in his left lung. The actor died on October 26, 2018 in the intensive care unit of the sixty-second oncological hospital in Moscow the day before his 74th birthday.
