This, without exaggeration, a wonderful person, being a foreigner by origin, who left the prosperous Austrian Vienna for the sake of his beloved woman and came to live in Russia, turned out to be so Russian in spirit that it is just right to set him as an example for so many of our compatriots.

Origin

The biography of Robert Roscik originates in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, where his father Roland, a Croat by birth, was from.

Roland's family had aristocratic roots going back several centuries. A descendant of the glorious family name Roszik, having received the best education in Belgrade, moved to neighboring Austria, where over time he became a professor at one of the oldest educational institutions in Europe - the University of Vienna, where he taught Italian.

In the same place, in Vienna, during one of the walks in the botanical garden of the university, which at that time was actively recovering from the Great Patriotic War,discreet and aristocratic Roland met Susanne, a native Austrian from a simple family.

After getting married, the young married couple left for the United States of America, in a country that was at that time on an unprecedented economic upsurge and in need of qualified specialists and scientists.

There, in America, their son Robert Roszik was born, whose date of birth is November 22, 1965.

Childhood

After some time the family returned to Austria. His father took up his teaching job again at the University of Vienna, and his mother raised Robert.

Roland Roszik was a very musical person. His main passion was opera and collecting records, among which his pride was a special account - the complete collection of musical works of the great Russian opera singer F. I. Chaliapin.

In their house one could very often hear the music of various composers and opera performers, thanks to which Robert Roscik developed excellent aesthetic taste and a delicate ear for music from an early age.

When the boy was twelve years old, Roland once turned on one of the records with Chaliapin to his son. The boy was simply shocked by the power of the voice of the famous Russian singer. However, he did not understand the words at all, which he told his father about. Yugoslav Roland, himselffluent in the language of the fraternal people, grinned and said: "And you learn the Russian language!" Thus, in the biography of Robert Roscik, 1977 became the year of birth of the third native language, because it was during that period that he sat down with Russian textbooks to find out what the great Chaliapin sang about.

First encounter with the opera house

After some time Robert crossed the threshold of the opera house for the first time. Everything that he had previously heard at home on his father's records instantly dissolved in his new enthusiastic sensations when the boy entered the walls of the Vienna State Opera. The first stage work in Robert's life was the opera "Force of Destiny" by the famous composer Giuseppe Verdi, in which such stars of the opera stage as Placido Domingo, Nikolai Gyaurov and Leontin Price sang.

The impression of the power of what he saw and heard was so great that Robert Roszik simply could not sleep the night after the performance, and the next morning he rushed back to the theater to buy tickets for new performances.

Since then, Roland and Suzanne always knew where to find their child if he didn't come home on time after school. Together with his peers, the same fans of opera as he is, Robert sometimes even spent the night at the walls of the opera in order to have time to take first place at the box office in the early morning and buy the cheapest tickets in the gallery of the opera hall.

Already by the end of school, Robert Roszik became a real connoisseur of opera art, possessing perfect knowledge of performers, theatercast, musicians and repertoire of all opera houses.

Youth

After graduating from school, the young man entered the Faculty of Slavic Studies at the University of Vienna, continuing the study of the Russian language, begun in childhood, as well as literature, history and spiritual culture of the Slavic peoples. At the same time, Robert was still an amazing person, living the opera and everything connected with it.

In 1983, when he was eighteen years old, he suddenly bought a completely ridiculous car for fashionable Vienna - a yellow "Zaporozhets" produced in the Soviet Union. It was the cheapest and only car that Roszik Jr. could afford. But now, after graduating from the university, he could go to work at night in neighboring Italy, in the glorious ancient city of Verona, on the main square of which the world-famous concert venue Arena di Verona was located. There he combined business with pleasure, moonlighting as a night porter, and at the same time listening to all the stars of the opera and classical scene, for whom the Verona concert venue was a favorite and honorable place of performances.

At that time, the pinnacle of Robert Roscik's career and his most real personal achievement was his participation in mimance - a mimic ensemble of artists participating in mass scenes of opera and ballet productions. It was the real happiness. He stood on the same stage with the great opera singers and saw the enthusiastic eyes of the audience.

Moscow

In 1986, having become a certified graduate of the University of Vienna, Roszik Jr. went tointernship at Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Moscow was like Robert's favorite opera. He was also struck by its power, magnificence, and he alone heard the sound of a great city. In whatever part of the capital of the Soviet Union he found himself, it invariably seemed to him that he had already been there. Having left home, he constantly returned his thoughts to Russia. There was something about this country that attracted him so much.

Maybe it was the realization of one's destiny. Or maybe the touch of Cupid's wings. One way or another, three years later, Robert Roszik returned to Moscow, met his love in it and stayed forever.

Beloved woman impresario Roscik

It so happened that Kazarnovskaya's future husband Robert Roszik and his biography, as well as the life path of his chosen one, turned out to be inextricably linked with opera art.

In 1989, Robert, already an accomplished impresario, again came to Moscow in search of worthy performers for the Vienna Opera. Among the twelve artists he selected was Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, prima ballerina of the Leningrad Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after S. M. Kirov, later reorganized into the State Academic Mariinsky Theater. Of course, Lyubov was one of the most gifted representatives of the group recruited by Roszik. However, the interest in this singer, shown by the young impresario, who at that time was only twenty-four years old, quickly grew from business to personal.

Very soon they became nice to each other. In addition, Lyubov Kazarnovskaya and Robert Rostsik had absolutely similar musical preferences and views on the profession. Love was the opera itself, and Robert was its devoted and admiring admirer. The impresario, fluent in Russian, recited Pushkin to the singer and gave flowers.

Love was eight years older than Robert and had already taken place as an opera actress, but she was completely unable to resist the charm of her new boyfriend. A romance breaks out between them, which soon developed into a marriage proposal.

We were sitting in a small cozy restaurant, of which there are many, he looked into my eyes, simply and openly, and asked a question. Then he admitted that he was very nervous and even afraid of rejection, thinking to himself: “Here’s an idiot, what if she says no, what will I do?..” I just as simply and openly answered: “Yes.” He beamed…

Family

In those years, marrying a foreigner was legally quite difficult, and sometimes completely impossible. The first three attempts to formalize relations in Russia failed in a bureaucratic fiasco. As a result, Robert Roszik became Kazarnovskaya's husband only in the capital of Austria.

It happened on April 21, 1989. Almost thirty years have passed since then, but their marriage is still as strong and romantic as it was at the beginning.

Immediately after the wedding, Robert left the profession, becomingorganizer of concerts and assistant to only one single person - his own wife. Soon Rostsik finally leaves Austria and moves to live in Russia.

The wonderful development of the relationship of a young family assumed continuation in the form of children, and after four years of married life, their dream came true - they had a son.

Andrey

Their son bears his father's last name. In the biography of Robert Roszik, Andrey's year of birth was captured by long walks with a stroller through the night San Francisco, where local homeless people greeted him every morning when he just returned home after a walk that lasted all night. His wife had just signed another contract, and she needed to get enough sleep to rehearse and perform in front of the public. And Robert, showing real fatherly heroism, completely took care of the newborn child.

Andrey was born on June 21, 1993, on the day of the summer solstice. Vienna was his birthplace.

Now the young man is already twenty-five years old. He, like his parents, connected his life with music and became a violinist, and in the future he dreams of becoming a symphony conductor.
