Ukrainian painter was born in 1963. After graduating from school, Yuri entered the Higher Military Engineering School in Kharkov. In 1985, the young man graduated from the university with honors. By his first education, Yuri Alexandrovich Klapoukh is a designer of aviation equipment.

Professional career was short-lived. A promising engineer moved to Moscow and became a student at the Surikov Institute. Since 1993 Yuri Klapoukh has been a professional artist. The first major work of the master is the painting of the St. Alexander Nevsky Church in Kharkov.

Since the mid-1990s, Yuri Klapoukh has been engaged in secular art. The artist's works were shown at expositions in Ukraine, South Africa and European countries. In 2003, the first solo exhibition was held in Germany.

Klapouh –participant and laureate of international competitions. In 2009-2010, the Ukrainian master received 2 awards from the Art Renewal Center, a scientific organization that supports contemporary realist artists. In 2011, Yuri was awarded a diploma of the Holy Synod and the order "In honor of 1020 years of the baptism of Kievan Rus" for painting the Alexander Nevsky Church.

Since 2019, the artist has been living in Kharkov. The master's paintings are in private collections of domestic and foreign collectors. Klapoukh's works are exhibited at the Gamma Gallery in Kyiv.
