Vikings were called participants in medieval Scandinavian sea voyages in the eighth-eleventh centuries. They are often depicted as stern, bearded men with an ax in their hand and a horned helmet on their heads. And although in fact they did not wear it, for some reason this attribute was firmly entrenched in the image of the Viking, which we will try to draw.

Materials

To draw a Viking, you will need a pencil or marker, as well as a sheet of plain office paper. Already at the very end of the work, you can use a set of colored pencils or felt-tip pens for coloring.

How to draw a Viking

First, the helmet. To do this, draw a figure resembling a semicircle with a slightly pointed top. Then draw a long, slightly curved line through the bottom of it and extending from both sides.

Continue it by folding both edges up. From the top points of this strip, draw one curved down to the helmet, forming horns.

Add another line at their base, as well as at the bottom of the helmet, onthe bottom line of which draw a few small circles.

Now, to draw the Viking, draw bushy eyebrows under the helmet. Between them add a big nose.

Immediately under the eyebrows, add two circles, inside of which - one more circle. These will be the eyes.

At their level, draw your hero small ears in the shape of the letter "C", and then under the nose with a zigzag line - and a beard. Also mark the mouth.

Next, to draw the Viking, draw an elongated semicircle in a zigzag pattern from the middle of the ear to the middle of the beard. Draw the same figure on the other side. These will be the Viking's shoulders.

On the left, stepping back a little, draw a circle (this will be a shield), inside which draw another one, but a little smaller. Draw a few diagonal lines on it. Connect the shield to the shape above it with two vertical lines.

From the right shoulder of the Viking, lower two strips down, and at their end draw a clenched square fist with a small ax.

Draw rectangles for the torso, belt and bottom of the garment. At the very bottom, draw the legs.

After you have managed to draw the Viking with a pencil, you can add some details, such as hairy hands, by drawing a few straight horizontal lines. And, of course, the finished drawing should be colored.

How to draw a Viking ship

The Viking warships were called drakkars and drawing one of them is pretty easy. First twodraw the lower part with curved lines and add a nasal figure to it.

Draw a mast with two vertical stripes, draw two horizontal lines to it from above and below, which we connect on the sides with two arcs to make a sail. We put additional stripes on it.

Also draw a line from the mast to the bow figure, similar to the back of the ship, but this time it should be partially hidden by the sail.

Draw a small paddle behind the drakkar and a row of round shields. Add stripes to the boat, creating the texture of the ship. We also draw the details on the shields and the nasal figure. Erase unnecessary elements and colorize. The drawing is ready.
